Europaforum

Burgenland

The Europaforum promotes European thinking, action, and cooperation. We provide a platform for everyone who shares European interests and ideas. The independent association was founded in 2001.

The Europaforum actively builds networks across borders, especially with neighbouring countries and the Western Balkans. We advocate for economic and social cooperation, aim to foster exchange, and seek to contribute to European integration.

We invite everyone to participate. Every idea and every thought that helps shaping Europe is welcome.

Our Topics

Bringing Europe
to the
Regions

Europe begins right on our doorstep. Under the motto “Bringing Europe to the Regions”, we actively seek dialogue with local politicians who want to help shape Europe’s future and who serve as important ambassadors in their communities.

At the heart of our work lies a central question: how can we work together to ensure that the many benefits of the European Union continue to reach people?

Securing Regional Funding

The economic development of our regions also depends on whether and how we can continue to use European funds effectively. The EU’s financial framework contains numerous opportunities and development programmes for regions. We aim to highlight these opportunities, provide information about them, and secure them for the long term.

Fighting
Cancer
Together

A key priority is the joint fight against cancer. In Austria, more than 20,000 people die from cancer every year, despite excellent medical care.

The goal at the European level is to pool all available resources in science and healthcare in order to reduce the number of cancer cases. We need to strengthen our networks and invest more financial resources in research. Together with our European partners, we can achieve more.

Promoting Exchange and Networking

We promote and provide opportunities for networking with neighbours and partners both within and outside the European Union. A key focus of our work is the relationship with the states of the Western Balkans.

We aim in particular to show young people European perspectives and to build cross-border connections together. With this approach, we create broad and straightforward access to European institutions.
